Job summary

The NYC-based engineering team at the company is hiring a backend-focused software engineer to build enterprise-grade SaaS capabilities. You’ll own features end to end, from architecture to production, with a strong emphasis on security, governance, and admin tooling.

You’ll collaborate across product, design, security, and infra to deliver scalable backend services and data models for large organizations, while shipping robust APIs and frontend touchpoints using modern frameworks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Deep backend engineering experience with full-stack ownership.
• Experience building enterprise SaaS products or on enterprise teams.
• Experience in permissions/access controls, audit logs, entitlements, governance, security, or admin tooling.
• Experience designing scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of Data/IT/Security/Platform admin needs.
• Ability to turn complex enterprise requirements into pragmatic solutions.
• High ownership and bias for action in 0-to-1 environments.
• Strong server-side skills in Java, Python, Scala, Go, Node.js, C++, or similar.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js.
• Collaborative across product, design, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise capabilities that enable large organizations to securely adopt and manage CustomerLake products.
• Design and develop robust permissions, roles, and access-control systems for complex environments.
• Build auditability and governance features for admin visibility.
• Develop pricing, entitlement, usage, and product controls for multi-team consumption.
• Design scalable backend services, APIs, and data models powering admin experiences.
• Translate enterprise requirements into intuitive, reliable product experiences.
• Own projects end to end from architecture to production and iteration.
• Partner with product, design, security, infra, and engineering to shape enterprise strategy.
