Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and Python. You will contribute to backend APIs, deployable services, and production-ready tooling, with a focus on reliability and scalability in a cloud environment.

You should be capable of delivering features end-to-end and owning services across the stack. This role sits on Rivian’s Engineering Applications team, building internal tools that power engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong programming skills with JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Build and enhance backend APIs and services for scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards.
• Debug and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and deployment environments.
• Work with cloud platforms to deploy and operate applications.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and improve development and release workflows.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and reliability of applications.
