Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Software team, driving the digital backbone of supply chain, manufacturing, and operations. You will build at the intersection of enterprise systems and AI, leading complex initiatives from concept to production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define features, ensure scalable architectures, and deliver mission-critical applications used across Rivian’s factories and logistics networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Go or TypeScript.
• Experience with React, Angular or Next.js.
• Experience with Postgres, MySQL and NoSQL data stores.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of distributed architectures and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-powered coding tools and observability stacks.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications for supply chain and manufacturing operations.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from concept through production.
• Build, test, and release mission-critical applications for internal and external users.
• Design workflows and automation with an AI-first mindset.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, UX/UI, and QA to define features and roadmaps.
• Maintain high standards for architecture, testing, security and performance.
