Job summary

Rivian in Palo Alto is seeking a high-potential software engineering intern to contribute to the Product Development Portal. You will build frontend and backend features, test, and deploy in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with REST/GraphQL APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS, collaborating with engineers and product teams to deliver scalable tools that improve product design and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS or related field.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, databases, and AWS.
• Previous software internship or co-op experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to ship features in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-stack development from day one, building, testing, and deploying frontend and backend features.
• Architect scalable web apps to automate workflows and save millions in annual savings.
• Strengthen system resiliency with clean, maintainable code for design/manufacturing lifecycles.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to prototype and ship internal tools.
• Proactively troubleshoot issues, participate in code reviews, and influence system architecture decisions.
