Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer II for the Leo Customer Terminals Applications & Networking Team. You will build software on customer terminals deployed in the field, collaborating with hardware, firmware, networking, and cloud teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The role requires strong coding skills in modern languages, multi-threaded/embedded system experience, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years programming in at least one modern language (C++, Rust, C, Java, Python).
1+ years developing large-scale, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software.
Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent.
Experience leading design or architecture and mentoring or tech lead roles.

Responsibilities

Improve speed and reliability of the customer’s internet connection on the terminal.
Build software that helps customers and support teams detect and resolve issues.
Deliver device health and diagnostics data to give visibility into fleet performance.
Own features end to end — design, implementation, testing, deployment and validation on live hardware.
Debug hardware-software-cloud issues and raise the bar for operations.
