Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer II for the Leo Customer Terminals Applications & Networking Team in Redmond, WA. You will design and build software running on customer terminals deployed in the field, collaborating with hardware, firmware, networking, and cloud teams to deliver reliable internet connectivity and robust diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years in design or architecture of large-scale systems
• 1+ years of software development for embedded or distributed systems
• Experience with C++, Java, or Python and OO design
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of full SDLC, including reviews, build, test, and operations

Responsibilities

• Improve speed and reliability of the customer's terminal connection
• Build tools for customers and support teams to diagnose issues remotely
• Deliver device health and diagnostics data for fleet visibility
• Own features end-to-end from design to deployment on live hardware
• Debug complex issues spanning hardware, software, and cloud
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, networking, and cloud teams to meet quality targets
