Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC seeks a Senior Software Developer to work remotely in the United States with the VA program. You will administer the Edifecs platform, configure XEServer/XEngine/TPM/SpecBuilder, and optimize EDI processing.

Required are 8+ years in EDI/healthcare or enterprise apps, strong AWS and Edifecs experience, and collaboration with DevSecOps, cloud teams, and stakeholders. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with EDIFECS platform components and transaction lifecycles.
• Hands-on AWS cloud environment experience.
• Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders and translate requirements.
• Proficiency with Edifecs XEServer, XEngine, TPM, and EDI Gateway.
• Experience with SpecBuilder definitions and map development.
• Knowledge of API-based integrations and gateway services.
• Experience with EDI troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform) and DevOps practices.
• Proficient with Git/GitHub workflows and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and enhance the Edifecs platform for EDI processing.
• Configure and maintain XEServer, XEngine, TPM, SpecBuilder, and related modules.
• Build, deploy, and optimize Edifecs processing rules, routing, and batch workflows.
• Analyze and resolve mapping issues, validation failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Manage JVM tuning, logging, and certificate/keystore configurations.
• Support releases, environment refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business units.
