Luminary, an AI-native wealth transfer platform, seeks a senior software engineer to own the estate tax modeling engine and data-domain design. You’ll collaborate with JDs, CPAs, and product leaders to deliver accurate, scalable calculations.

You'll contribute to a high-impact product used by leading wealth managers and law firms, with remote-friendly policies and a strong emphasis on correctness and fast delivery.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of software engineering experience with strong engineering practices.
• You prefer domain complexity to infrastructure complexity and are rigorous about correctness.
• Day-to-day tools include Go, Postgres, Temporal and GraphQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the modeling engine: transfer tax computation, waterfall and distribution modeling.
• Model the domain flexibly and thoughtfully for trusts and estates.
• Make correctness checkable by validating against professional standards.
• Support agents by exposing deterministic data models and tooling.
