Job summary

Taxwell is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead design, development, and deployment of AI-powered systems across our tax platform. You will craft AI tools for internal use and customer-facing products, shape architecture, and establish standards for reliability, explainability, and compliance in a regulated domain.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with a track record of production AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-enabled architectures, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript and cloud deployment in AWS/GCP/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered tools for multiple internal departments and customer-facing products.
• Develop internal AI platforms, shared services, and reusable components.
• Lead agent-based systems using LangChain, LangGraph, and similar frameworks.
• Establish best practices for prompt engineering, evaluation, and monitoring.
