Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Software Engineer for the Solipsys/Collins Aerospace team at the Fulton, MD facility. You will drive design, architecture, and development of real-time software systems in an agile environment.

The role requires strong OO programming with Java or C++, and hands-on experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and Typescript. You will collaborate with customers and teams and may travel for demos and integration.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java or C++ with OO design fundamentals.
• Typically requires STEM degree with 3–5 years of experience or an advanced degree with 2–4 years.
• Security clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an Agile environment.
• Develop real-time features for C2 systems and maintainable software.
• Collaborate with customers and teams across internal and external stakeholders.
