is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Software Engineer III) for the Data Sharing team within the Product Information Management organization. You will design, code, test, and support APIs and event streams delivering product data to Grainger systems. You will mentor junior engineers, work with stakeholders, and implement scalable software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Terraform, and DataDog.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience with modern software engineering.
• Understanding of distributed systems design.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting complex problems and processes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot).
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Terraform and DataDog.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end services (APIs and stream processing) using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build applications and design scalable software solutions with engineers and product managers.
• Contribute to continuous delivery practices (CI/CD) and DevOps.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure reliable services.
