John Deere is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Intelligent Solutions Group in Urbandale, IA. You will build and maintain a Python- and Scala-based data processing platform, enabling data scientists to deploy ML workloads and manage data pipelines.

You will own platform components end-to-end, work with Spark and Databricks, and help teams adopt new tools through documentation and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills including library or API design, testing, packaging and dependency management.
• 3+ years building and supporting production cloud-based systems, preferably on AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker), infrastructure-as-code and automation, with a DevOps mindset.
• Experience building internal tools, shared libraries or developer tooling used by engineers or data scientists.

Responsabilidades

• Build, test and maintain a Python- and Scala-based data processing platform and supporting libraries, SDKs, and CLIs for data and ML workloads.
• Create self-service tools and automation for CI/CD, environment setup, packaging and deployment to make secure, observable, and scalable choices default.
• Own platform components from design through production support, including integrations with Spark, Databricks and data lake systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to understand pain points, gather feedback, document clearly, and help adoption of new tools.
