John Deere is seeking a Software Engineer/Data Engineer to design and build enterprise-scale data pipelines and analytics solutions at East Moline or Chicago locations. You will develop data models supporting reporting and BI, and collaborate with multiple teams to improve platform capabilities, scalability, and performance.

You will work with Python, SQL, Spark, and modern cloud data platforms, contributing to CI/CD and data governance initiatives, while ensuring data quality and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer/software engineering or related field.
• Experience with data engineering and analytics on enterprise datasets.
• Strong programming and data modeling skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Develop data models to support reporting, BI, and analytics use cases.
• Build, deploy, support, and optimize data products for dealer analytics environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform capabilities, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical debt reduction.
• Monitor and improve data quality and reliability across distributed environments.
• Troubleshoot data and analytics platform issues.
• Support incident management for data defects and outages.
• Partner with source system teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.
• Document data flows and engineering processes.
