Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III to contribute to a trusted Global Know Your Customer (KYC) and Risk Assessment Data Platform.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable data-driven solutions and leverage AI-assisted development tools to boost code quality and speed. The role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, expertise in Python/Java, and strong knowledge of cloud and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability at enterprise scale.
• Expert in one or more programming languages, particularly Python and/or Java.
• Deep knowledge of software development processes with focus on cloud, AI/ML, and data engineering.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with evaluation, validation, and secure outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develops secure, high-quality production code for data-intensive applications and platforms.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks and patterns used across teams.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and automated testing.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
• Advises cross-functional teams on technological matters within their domain of expertise.
• Supports large-scale data processing, microservices, API design, and orchestration tooling.
