Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within Corporate Technology to contribute to a Global KYC and Risk Assessment Data Platform. You will collaborate in an agile data engineering team to build secure, scalable software across cloud environments.

The role emphasizes large-scale data processing, microservices, and AI-enabled development tools, with opportunities to influence architecture and interact with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability at enterprise scale
• Expert in Python and/or Java
• Deep knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, data engineering
• Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows
• Experience with large-scale data processing, microservices, API design, Kafka, Redis, Memcached, observability tools, and orchestration frameworks
• Relational and NoSQL databases, vector stores, data lake architectures, data governance
• Cloud-native experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to present to senior leaders and executives

Responsibilities

• Develops secure, high-quality production code for data-intensive applications and platforms
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks and patterns leveraged across teams
• Utilizes enterprise-approved AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity with peer review and automated testing
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value
• Advises cross-functional teams on technology matters in your domain
• Guides automation improvements at scale using AI-assisted development tools
