Job summary

Maplebear Inc. D/B/A Instacart seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Experience team to design, build, and implement scalable software solutions for the Instacart platform.

The role focuses on optimizing data-driven features, leading projects, and delivering across web and mobile interfaces. Remote work is supported under the Flex First policy, with base pay dependent on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/related field or foreign equivalent.
• 5+ years in software development with Java, Ruby, Python, or similar languages.
• 5+ years with MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, or related data stores.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement scalable software for the Core Experience team.
• Analyze and optimize expensive SQL queries.
• Lead development projects from inception to deployment and maintenance.
• Create engaging shopping experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Perform ongoing testing, diagnostics, and performance analysis.
