Job summary

TransCore seeks a Sr Software Engineer for Smart Mobility to design, build, and operate backend services and APIs in C#/.NET on Azure. You will own features end-to-end, contribute to engineering patterns, and collaborate with developers across mobile, QA, and DevOps teams.

The role involves mentoring peers, enhancing observability, and delivering secure, scalable software for a cloud-native mobility platform. Hybrid work and relocation are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 10–13 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C# and .NET experience with ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Cloud-native apps on Azure or similar; experience with queues/streams.
• Security and API standards knowledge; OAuth2/OpenID Connect.
• Experience with containers, CI/CD, and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services and APIs in C#/.NET.
• Implement cloud-native patterns on Azure with containers and horizontal scaling.
• Develop event-driven workflows using message queues and streaming tech.
• Build integrations to tolling, payments, and partner APIs.
• Ensure secure by default design with proper token/secret management.
• Contribute to Angular/TypeScript front ends as needed.
• Own production services, participate in on-call and RCA, mentor others.
