Job summary

TransCore seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to own CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and the observability layer for a cloud-native Smart Mobility platform in Austin, with remote US options.

You will implement pipelines in Azure DevOps, manage Terraform/OpenTofu modules, and operate container workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service, ensuring security, cost discipline, and standardized telemetry across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional DevOps, platform, or site reliability engineering with a strong automation focus.
• 3–6 additional years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and IaC, with Azure DevOps preferred.
• Hands-on experience operating cloud-native workloads on Azure (AWS/GCP also considered).
• Solid skills in Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS).
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

Responsibilities

• CI/CD and Release Automation: design, build, and maintain pipelines with quality/security gates.
• Infrastructure as Code and Cloud Platform: own IaC with Terraform/OpenTofu; manage multi-env lifecycle.
• Reliability, Observability, and Security: implement logging, metrics, tracing, and security controls; OpenTelemetry standards.
• Collaboration and Enablement: improve developer experience, create runbooks, and enforce DevOps standards.
• Agile delivery: participate in sprints, provide estimates, and review code for infra and pipeline.
