Job summary

Cisco Secure Common Services Platform Engineering is seeking engineers to design and build core cloud-native components and services. You will partner with Product Management, collaborate across teams, and mentor juniors while driving scalable, secure deployments. The team embraces AI/ML integration and robust distributed-systems challenges.

You will work across Go microservices, Kafka pipelines, and Kubernetes/EKS infrastructure, contributing to high-quality, timely delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher with required years of experience in enterprise software.
• Experience with cloud-native web apps and microservices using Go, Terraform, and serverless tech.
• Experience building event-driven systems using Kafka, SQS, or SNS.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of the Common Services Platform and related solutions.
• Partner with Product Management to understand requirements and plan work.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver end-to-end functionality with proper integration.
• Develop POCs/prototypes to explore ideas and validate approaches.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
