Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver robust, scalable software across the full SDLC in a hybrid, multi-location setup in the US (RTP, Austin, San Jose). You will own backend architecture, partner with stakeholders, and mentor juniors to elevate the team’s capabilities.

Requires 7+ years in the full software lifecycle and strong experience with Python/Go/Node.js/Java/Rust, cloud infra (AWS), Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD. AI-assisted tools experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have full software development lifecycle experience (build, test, deploy).
• Experience with backend development in Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or Rust.
• Proficient with REST or GraphQL APIs and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud infra and container orchestration (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
• AIOps or AI-assisted development tools experience a plus.
