Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure software for Higher Education Digital platforms. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Product, Architecture, Security, QA, and Operations to improve delivery velocity and reliability.

You will champion modern software practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, and cloud-native architectures, with a focus on AI-assisted development and observability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native applications.
• Experience in Agile environments and collaboration with globally distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise-scale software applications and services.
