RWE Americas, LLC, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer I to lead end-to-end engineering for a high-throughput data ecosystem connecting live operational assets to leadership metrics across 160+ sites. You will own a cloud-native microservices stack, implement multi-language code reviews, and mentor a growing team.

The role emphasizes scalable architecture, AI-driven data processing, and proactive observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of production software engineering in cloud-native, distributed environments.
• Proficiency across C#/.NET, Python, and TypeScript/React; familiarity with Go.
• Experience with Azure, AKS, Terraform/Helm, and Azure DevOps.
• Background in ETL data workflows and ML/AI integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system design of secure, event-driven microservices in Azure.
• Develop ML-enabled data processing and anomaly detection workflows.
• Build high-throughput ETL pipelines and low-latency APIs.
• Perform multi-language code reviews for security and reliability.
• Establish observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
• Document architecture and blueprints to accelerate onboarding.
• Drive security audits and automated remediation.
• Lead root-cause analysis for major production incidents.
• Modernize CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
