Job summary

The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is seeking a software professional to design and build high-throughput, low-latency data solutions for critical financial market clearing and risk activities. You will collaborate with business analysts, architects and product owners to deliver scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot and MongoDB or PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities include optimizing database access, deploying real-time distributed apps on AWS, and adhering to SDLC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related and three years of experience as a software developer, systems engineer, research assistant, or related
• Experience with Spring Batch, Kafka, Spring Boot, MongoDB or PostgreSQL
• Ability to design high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems and optimize SQL queries

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts, team leads and developers to build scalable data solutions for financial market clearing and risk activities
• Design and implement efficient data access strategies and optimized SQL queries
• Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB or Postgres
• Deploy distributed real-time applications on AWS (EC2, Auto Scaling) and ensure SDLC compliance
