Job summary

SimpliSafe, a high-tech home security company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our:

Customer Experience Platform, Privacy Compliance tooling, and cross-organization technical initiatives. You will work with Node.js microservices, AWS, and modern frontend frameworks to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack.
• Strong experience building Node.js microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable frontend framework.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
• A mindset that values building new things as much as maintaining what already exists.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our customer experience platform and privacy tooling.
• Lead cross-organization technical initiatives, partnering with other engineering teams to drive improvements beyond your immediate team's scope.
• Contribute to building and shipping production web applications and/or services independently.
