Job summary

SimpliSafe is hiring a Staff DevSecOps Engineer to advance security across the product lifecycle, spanning backend services and AWS cloud platforms. You will drive security-by-design, automate testing, and implement cloud governance within engineering workflows.

In this role you will design resilient security architectures, secure CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native protections to enable secure, scalable product delivery while partnering with Security, Engineering, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, cloud infra, or platform engineering with architecture experience.
• Hands-on DevSecOps implementation and security controls across enterprise environments.
• CI/CD architecture, automation, and secure software delivery expertise.
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DevSecOps practices and security controls across environments.
• Architect and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize AWS/GCP to optimize infrastructure.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes for secure deployments.
• Automate tasks with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
• Lead vulnerability management and remediation with scalable automation.
• Develop detection capabilities: monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Implement CSPM and continuous control monitoring with automated remediation.
• Collaborate on security design reviews for new products and services.
• Drive adoption of security best practices across the org.
