Job summary

SimpliSafe, a high-tech home security company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our:

Customer Experience Platform, Privacy Compliance tooling, and cross-organization technical initiatives. You will work with Node.js microservices, AWS, and modern frontend frameworks to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack.
• Strong experience building Node.js microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable frontend framework.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team.
• A mindset that values building new things as much as maintaining what already exists.

What You'll Do

SimpliSafe is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Operations Engineering team. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain the systems and APIs that power our:

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally full-stack
• Proven ability to design and ship production web applications and/or services independently
• Strong experience building Node.js microservices
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience with Angular, React, or a comparable modern frontend framework
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar
• Solid working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively on a team

The target annual base pay range for this role is $117,000 to $156,000.

This target annual base pay range represents our good‑faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market‑based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees' job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
