Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to design, develop, and maintain software across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments using C#, .NET, and React. You will lead complex development efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate with architects and product teams to deliver scalable, secure systems.

The role requires extensive experience in hybrid/cloud deployments, strong DevOps skills, and a focus on performance and security.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in C# and .NET
• Experience across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments
• Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD, IaC, and containerization
• Experience with agile methodologies and development tools such as Jira and Git
• Experience leading large-scale projects in hybrid and cloud environments
• Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of software solutions using C#, .NET, and React across environments
• Architect and implement microservices and cloud-native apps for scalability and availability
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
• Define and implement high-level architectural solutions with stakeholders
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments in hybrid/cloud environments
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and DevOps to align requirements and solutions
• Troubleshoot performance, security, and scalability issues
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines
• Stay current with cloud/hybrid trends and drive adoption of relevant innovations
• Provide leadership in system architecture, API design, and software scalability
