Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Sales Engineering in Austin, TX. You will design, build, and scale enterprise backend systems powering Apple products, delivering production-grade Java code and modern microservices.

You will mentor team members, shape architectural direction, and collaborate with business leaders and project managers to ensure timely delivery and architectural integrity across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 8+ years designing and developing scalable backend solutions.
• 4+ years with Java, including concurrency and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in OOP, data structures, algorithms, and GoF design patterns.
• Experience with Spring ecosystem and building production apps with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and related modules.
• Understanding of JVM internals and distributed systems concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, stateless REST APIs for web and mobile clients.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable Java code with strong OO design principles.
• Leverage Java expertise, Spring stack, and data access technologies to build robust services.
• Design database schemas and data access layers with performance tuning and caching.
• Ensure security and reliability across stack; manage deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to architectural directions.
