We are partnering with a global automotive OEM to rapidly scale the connectivity team behind their next-generation, Android-based in-vehicle infotainment systems.

This team is urgently seeking a Senior Software Engineer strictly focused on execution, rapid bug triage, and issue resolution for the Android Bluetooth software stack. You will take ownership of the connectivity bridge between the vehicle and mobile devices, acting as the final line of defense for software stability and certification compliance.

What You Will Do
  • Implement, integrate, and maintain the Android-based Bluetooth stack (AOSP Bluetooth/Fluoride, Android framework layer) for complex automotive infotainment systems.
  • Investigate, triage, and resolve critical connectivity issues surfaced during Apple CarPlay and Android Auto certification and compliance testing.
  • Execute root-cause analysis for general Bluetooth interoperability challenges between vehicle hardware and consumer mobile devices.
  • Drive the Bluetooth SIG certification process (e.g., Bluetooth Qualification Body submissions, test case verification) for upcoming vehicle software and hardware releases.
  • Collaborate directly with cross-functional QA teams, Tier-1 hardware partners, and Apple/Google certification bodies to guarantee a seamless end-user experience.
Core Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on software development focusing exclusively on Bluetooth technologies within an Android environment.
  • Heavy, proven experience implementing and debugging the Android Bluetooth stack (AOSP, Fluoride, Android framework/HAL layer).
  • Direct, hands-on experience executing Apple CarPlay and/or Android Auto certification, testing, and issue resolution.
  • A proven track record of successfully driving Bluetooth SIG certification.
  • Deep expertise utilizing over-the-air packet sniffers and protocol analyzers (Ellisys, Frontline, Wireshark) for low-level debugging.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior background in automotive infotainment software development.
  • Familiarity with automotive-specific Bluetooth profiles (A2DP, HFP, AVRCP, PBAP, MAP).
  • Prior experience working directly within Apple's MFi program or Google's Android Automotive certification pipelines.
