Job summary

Ford is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Bluetooth to drive connectivity on the Android-based infotainment stack. You will implement and maintain the Android Bluetooth stack, addressing issues surfaced during CarPlay and Android Auto tests, and drive Bluetooth SIG certification for vehicle releases.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure stability and high-quality in-vehicle connectivity, bringing strong debugging and OTA analysis skills to the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Bluetooth software development in Android.
• Experience implementing and debugging Android Bluetooth stack (AOSP/Fluoride).
• Direct CarPlay and/or Android Auto certification/testing experience.
• Experience executing Bluetooth SIG certification processes.
• Strong debugging and rapid issue-resolution in automotive connectivity.
• Experience with packet sniffers and analyzers (Ellisys, Frontline, Wireshark).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Android-based Bluetooth stack for automotive infotainment.
• Triage and resolve issues during CarPlay/Android Auto certification.
• Drive rapid bug triage and root-cause analysis for Bluetooth connectivity.
• Lead Bluetooth SIG certification submissions and validation.
• Collaborate with infotainment, QA, OEM/Tier 1 partners, and certification bodies.
