Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to modernize patient scheduling, order management, and patient access workflows.

You will build and enhance backend services, tackle legacy-system challenges, and advance modernization across microservices and containerized infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions, embrace AI-assisted engineering tools, and drive reliability, performance, and developer productivity in a regulated healthcare

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience
Strong backend development with microservices, APIs, SQL-based apps and distributed systems
Experience building modern web apps with Angular or similar framework
Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, modernization efforts
Ability to learn new technologies and work within legacy, regulated environments

Responsibilities

Play a key role in modernizing healthcare applications by enhancing backend services
Contribute to modernization initiatives across microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes adoption
Partner with engineering, platform, product, and support teams to improve efficiency and platform capabilities
Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools, automation, CI/CD, and modernization efforts
Operate with ownership and autonomy while tackling modernization challenges across legacy apps
