Job summary

Affirm is seeking a backend-focused engineering leader to own the quarterly goals for the Powered by Affirm team. You will guide engineers through designing and implementing robust APIs for enterprise merchants, ensuring scalable, reliable systems.

Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to solve complex backend challenges and maintain high availability on distributed architectures using Python or Kotlin, AWS, and Kubernetes. A strong emphasis on code quality and architecture is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of experience in backend systems using Python or Kotlin, with a proven track record of building distributed systems on AWS and Kubernetes.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required.
