Job summary

Affirm is seeking a backend-focused engineering leader to own quarterly goals for the Powered by Affirm team in Baltimore. You will guide engineers through API design and system architecture for enterprise merchants, while collaborating with product, design and analytics to tackle complex problems and maintain high availability.

The role requires 4+ years in backend development (Python or Kotlin) and hands-on experience with distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience with Python or Kotlin.
• Experience building distributed systems using AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; strong communication skills.
