Job summary

Affirm seeks a backend-focused leader to own quarterly goals for the Powered by Affirm team. You will guide engineers through API design and implementation for enterprise merchants, ensuring scalable, reliable systems.

Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to tackle complex technical challenges and maintain high availability across critical services. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in backend systems using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record of building distributed systems on AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills.
