Job summary

Prison Fellowship is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to maintain and transform legacy applications by building modern API-driven applications using React and PHP/Laravel. The role involves serving as a software product SME, owning applications on October CMS, and building APIs to support MACH architectures.

You will contribute to data modeling, architecture decisions, and collaboration across disciplines, with remote work and up to 5% travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering experience.
• 2–5 years designing APIs, data models, and frontend and backend systems.
• 2–5 years leading development and acting as SME for software products.
• Strong API design with PHP and PostgreSQL; experience with SOA and MACH.

Responsibilities

• Serve as software product SME and perform code reviews.
• Maintain and improve apps running on October CMS.
• Develop and maintain web apps using React and PHP (Laravel).
• Build, enhance, and integrate RESTful APIs in Python and PHP; work with existing APIs.
• Model data per specifications and contribute to architecture decisions.
