Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend engineering, focusing on PHP.
• Proven expertise with PHP 7.4+/8+ and MVC frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
• Strong hands-on experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Solid proficiency in SQL databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience modernizing and refactoring legacy codebases for performance and maintainability.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using PHP 7.4+/8+ and MVC frameworks (Laravel/Symfony).
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support frontend apps and third-party services.
• Lead refactoring to improve code quality, performance, and security.
• Manage and optimize database schemas and queries (MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices.
