Job summary

Expedia Group in Springfield, MO is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to design, develop, and maintain complex software across multiple languages and platforms. You will build APIs used across the business unit and lead code reviews to ensure clean, scalable code.

You’ll debug, test, and resolve issues within SLAs, designing software that is easily testable and observable. Collaboration with stakeholders and ongoing learning are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience (or 3+ with a Master’s).
• Experience in at least 3 programming languages and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex software across multiple languages and platforms.
• Build and maintain APIs used across the business unit.
• Lead code reviews and drive code quality and best practices.
• Debug, test, and resolve issues within SLAs using monitoring tools.
• Create testable, observable software with a systems-wide perspective.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements proactively.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align solutions with business needs.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
