Job summary

Citi seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own design and development of scalable digital platforms in Irving, TX. You will lead mid-to-large scale projects and make architectural decisions that impact millions of clients worldwide.

In this hybrid role, you’ll build AI-enabled services, APIs, and distributed systems using Java and Python, with React front-ends and modern tooling. You’ll influence delivery, drive quality, and partner across teams to ship value quickly.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of engineering experience building high-performance, large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end software solutions that are robust, scalable, and deliver value to users and the business.
• Lead engineering decisions on complex, large-scale distributed systems across teams.
• Develop AI/LLM capabilities to accelerate Citi's AI platform maturity.
• Drive integration and enterprise-wide adoption of Generative AI solutions.
• Iterate quickly, prioritizing working software and rapid feedback over lengthy upfront design.
• Champion lean engineering practices through pair programming and streamlined processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex challenges into deliverable outcomes.
