Expedia Group is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Inventory Team in Austin. You will design and build backend services and frontend experiences, focusing on scalable, secure data models, APIs, and reliable systems.

You will own end-to-end lifecycle, implement production-grade code, and collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to translate requirements into robust solutions. Strong experience with AI-enabled workloads is valued.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of services, components, or features across design, implementation, quality, deployment, and operational support.
• Strong proficiency in software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with modern backend and frontend technologies, service architectures, and AI-driven tools or workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and evolve backend services and supporting frontend experiences, including system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling for scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
• Implement high-quality production code across backend and frontend components, emphasizing maintainability, automated testing, observability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product, design, and partner engineering teams to translate customer and business requirements into robust technical solutions, reusable service integrations, and intuitive user experiences.
• Own and improve the end-to-end lifecycle of services and features, including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Apply data, metrics, experimentation, and analytics to prioritize work, validate hypotheses, and continuously improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real-world products.
