Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience in software development or data engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience building and maintaining production software, data-processing systems, or data pipelines in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ownership of well-defined services, components, pipelines, or features, including contributions to design, implementation, quality, deployment, and operational support.
• Proficiency in Java, with experience applying software engineering fundamentals—including data structures, algorithms, system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling—to real systems.
• Hands-on experience with streaming and batch data processing, including Kafka, Spark, and Amazon S3, as well as familiarity with AI-driven tools or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain streaming and batch data-processing pipelines that support scalable, secure, and high-quality data products and services.
• Build and operate data workflows using Kafka, Spark, and Amazon S3, applying appropriate patterns for real-time ingestion, transformation, storage, and downstream consumption.
• Design, build, and evolve reliable data-intensive software solutions using Java, including system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to translate requirements into reusable technical solutions, well-structured data flows, and maintainable service integrations.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned components and features, including implementation, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
