Job summary

interface.ai is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help set the technical direction for scalable AI-powered banking platforms. You will work directly with our CTO and CEO in a hands-on, in-person environment where great ideas win and shipping is the scoreboard.

You’ll design and implement platform services in TypeScript and Python, own end-to-end architecture, and drive deployment, security, and observability while collaborating with product, design, and data teams in the SF office.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience and production-grade systems.
Portfolio showing architecture decisions, trade-offs and outcomes.
Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python; frontend JS experience.
Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and cloud architecture.
Background in AI/ML engineering and prompt engineering.
BS/BA in computer science; graduate degree a plus; self-directed.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of platform services that are scalable and observable.
Own end-to-end architecture, APIs, data models, performance and security.
Build backend in TS/Python; contribute to frontend in JavaScript.
Drive integration of LLM-based and agentic AI into production systems.
Define and enforce engineering standards, testing, deployment and incident response.
Collaborate closely with product, design and data teams in-office daily.
