Job summary

Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Auth0 Emerging Tech team to extend and complement our Auth0 GenAI offering. You will build infrastructure, tooling, and developer experiences that empower both human developers and AI agents to create secure, intelligent apps.

You will design and deploy developer tooling, demo apps, and open source contributions while collaborating across engineering, product, and security teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering building tools for developers
• Experience with LLM APIs, agent runtimes, orchestration layers
• Familiarity with authentication systems (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)
• Demonstrated architecture and design leadership for scalable systems
• Comfort contributing to open source projects and developer communities
• Passion for documentation as part of developer experience

Responsibilities

• Design and Build Developer Tooling for securing infrastructure and developer productivity
• Build Demo Applications showcasing secure, identity-powered AI use cases
• Contribute to Open Source projects within Auth0 and the broader AI ecosystem
• Write and Maintain high-quality API references, quickstarts, and docs for developers
• Drive integration with emerging AI frameworks via adapters and utilities
• Collaborate with Design, Product, and Security to align on needs and roadmap
• Mentor and support other engineers, promoting code quality and architectural thinking
• Influence engineering standards through design discussions and decisions
• Ensure resilience and security of agent-to-agent and model-to-service communications
