Okta’s Auth0 team is building the next generation of authentication for the GenAI era. We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Agentic Experience team at Auth0.

You will extend and complement our Auth for GenAI offering by building the infrastructure, tooling, and developer experiences that empower both human developers and AI agents to build secure, intelligent applications. This role blends cross-stack collaboration with a focus on developer tooling, security, and open source

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building tools or platforms for developers.
• Experience with LLM APIs, agent runtimes, orchestration layers, or prompt pipelines.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization systems (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT).
• Demonstrated experience leading architecture and design for scalable, production-grade systems.
• Comfort contributing to open source projects and engaging with developer communities.
• A passion for documentation as part of the developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build developer tooling to secure and manage infrastructure.
• Build demo applications showcasing secure, identity-powered AI use cases.
• Contribute to open source projects across Auth0 and the broader AI + identity ecosystem.
• Write and maintain high-quality API references, quickstarts, and best practices.
• Drive integration with emerging AI frameworks and adapters for runtimes.
• Collaborate with design, product, and security teams on developer needs and roadmaps.
• Mentor and support other engineers with a focus on code quality and testing.
• Influence engineering standards through design discussions and architectural decisions.
