Okta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Agentic Experience team at Auth0 to build developer tooling and secure, identity-powered AI applications. You will work across stacks to empower human developers and AI agents while shaping the future of authentication in production environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with security, product, and design teams, mentoring peers, and contributing to open source and documentation efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building tools or platforms for developers.
• Experience with LLM APIs, agent runtimes, and orchestration layers.
• Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT).
• Proven track record leading architecture and design for production systems.
• Comfort contributing to open source and engaging with developer communities.
• Excellent documentation skills to improve developer experience.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and build developer tooling to secure and manage infrastructure for AI-enabled apps.
• Develop demo applications showcasing secure, identity-powered AI use cases.
• Contribute to open source projects within Auth0 and broader AI/identity ecosystem.
• Write clear API references, quickstarts, and best practices for developers.
• Create adapters and interfaces for agent runtimes and orchestration layers.
• Collaborate with design, product, and security teams to set direction and compliance.
• Mentor engineers, uphold code quality, testing, and architectural standards.
• Drive engineering standards and ensure resilience and security in inter-agent communications.
