Cedar’s core product team builds the technology that helps patients understand, afford, and manage their healthcare costs. We're hiring engineers to own meaningful projects end to end, work with AI both in how they build and in what they build, and ship features used by millions of patients every year.

You'll work on problems like bill transparency and flexible payment solutions. This role is remote across the United States.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience building product-facing applications.
• Proficiency in a backend language (Python/Django preferred, or comparable).
• Hands-on frontend experience; React/TypeScript a plus.
• Track record leading projects from design through delivery.
• Experience collaborating with product managers and designers.
• Experience using AI tools in development workflow.
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear articulation of ideas.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from requirements through production release, including design and launch.
• Work across the full stack; backend-heavy with regular frontend tasks.
• Partner with PMs and designers to convert ideas into technical plans.
• Use AI tools to build AI-powered features for patients.
• Maintain code quality through tests, PRs, and debt management.
• Measure impact of shipped work on patients and the business.
