Job summary

Lighten is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to build and scale the core platform powering our data products. You’ll work across the stack—from data infrastructure and backend services in AWS to customer-facing applications—and play a key role in bringing agentic AI capabilities into the product.

This high-ownership role moves between infrastructure, backend, and frontend work, shaping the engineering culture and technical direction of a growing team.

Qualifications

• Design, build, and ship full stack features across the platform.
• Own and evolve AWS infrastructure including security, cost, and reliability.
• Architect and implement agentic AI workflows with real-world data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full stack features across our platform — data pipelines, APIs, and frontend.
• Own AWS infrastructure: provisioning, scaling, security, cost efficiency, reliability.
• Architect and implement agentic AI workflows for user interactions with real-world data.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and commercial teams to translate domain requirements into robust tech solutions.
• Establish and improve engineering practices—code reviews, testing, CI/CD, observability.
