Job summary

Preferred Risk Insurance is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services while mentoring others and guiding architectural decisions.

You will leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensure code quality and security, and collaborate with product owners and stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Five (5) or more years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing applications using C#, .NET, and React.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
• Own the technical implementation of features and enhancements within an assigned application or functional domain.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and document significant design decisions and implementation approaches.
• Break complex initiatives into manageable work for developers and AI-assisted tools.
