Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Product Engineering Background) for a fully remote role in the United States. You will own major product features, drive architectural decisions, and build scalable backend services and distributed systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to engineering standards in an AI-forward environment. Ideal candidates have strong product engineering background, proven leadership, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering with product engineering background.
• Experience owning major product features and architectural decisions in scalable systems.
• Strong fundamentals: backend, APIs, distributed systems, microservices.
• Ability to design for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Experience solving complex problems with data-driven trade-offs.
• Hands-on with AI coding agents, defining specs and reviewing AI-generated code.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
• Excellent communication in a remote team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and implementation of major product features, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing features translating requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and improve backend services, APIs, distributed systems, and architectures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex engineering challenges and optimize performance.
• Leverage AI coding agents to accelerate development and validate AI-generated code.
• Maintain engineering standards through reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction and standards.
• Collaborate with product teams to align priorities with customer outcomes.
• Take ownership of production systems and platform health.
