Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior AI platform engineer to build scalable generative AI services in a fully remote US-focused role. You will own backend systems, implement RAG pipelines, and integrate AI agents with MCP, while collaborating across product and design teams.

You will prototype concepts, ensure observability, and help steer the technical direction in fast-evolving AI environments, delivering reliable solutions for customers. Strong communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Node.js/NestJS and TypeScript.
• Hands-on production work on AI agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM integrations.
• Familiar with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration concepts.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., n8n) and microservices.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ/BullMQ.
• Comfort with REST, WebSockets, and front-end touchpoints in React/TS.
• Experience with embedding/vector databases (Pinecone/Weaviate/Qdrant/pgvector).
• Ability to read/modify React/TypeScript frontend when needed.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud architecture; observability practices.
• Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain core AI services prioritizing accuracy and reliability.
• Design and implement production-ready generative AI capabilities and MCP integrations.
• Build distributed systems with Node.js, Python, and Java including REST APIs and streaming.
• Integrate microservices and legacy systems while maintaining resilience and traceability.
• Implement event-driven architecture using RabbitMQ and BullMQ.
• Design and maintain relational and non-relational databases, including embeddings.
• Contribute to front-end with React/TypeScript when needed, to unblock delivery.
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues in multi-tenant AI environments.
• Maintain high quality via automated testing, evals, and reviews.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI to product and operations beyond existing solutions.
• Prototype concepts and develop proofs of concept for feasibility and value.
• Contribute to roadmap discussions on AI-driven value delivery.
• Stay informed on AI models and tooling; assess practical applicability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Data, and AI teams for delivery alignment.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and help drive technical direction.
