Job summary

Travelers Companies, Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and engineering for the producer management platform, including AI-driven capabilities and cloud-native modernization. You will own data quality, integrations, and real-time workflows, partnering with product and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will apply AI tools across design, coding, testing, and operations, mentoring engineers and guiding adoption of new technologies within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent in education/experience.
• 6 additional years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building AI applications, including retrieval, orchestration, and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering for the producer management platform, covering producer data, licensing, appointments, and onboarding.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into designs and priorities.
• Own producer data quality and integrations across consuming systems.
• Build AI capabilities into the platform, including assistants and workflow automation.
• Deploy AI features to production on AWS with retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
